Sd.Kfz. 181 Pz.kpfw.VI Ausf. E Tiger I Middle Production
The kit represents Tigers built in December 1943 or January 1944, i.e. the end of the Mid period. It provides optional "straight" or "notched" front edges for the hull. The travel lock is molded in and there are no Feifel fittings, so the kit doesn't address Tigers earlier than December 1943. There are three decal options; they belong to s.Pz.Abt.502 and s.SS.Pz.Abt.101, although the instructions don't say so.
The interior is thoroughly fitted out, with around 125 pieces comprising the turret, fighting compartment, driving compartment, radio room, engine compartment and radiator compartments. All crew positions and major assemblies are present, including equipment under the floor that is revealed by lifting out the turret.
