General
History
Glenside was
one of seven harbour and coastal tugs built for the Canadian Navy in the early
1940's. Glenside served all of her naval career in the Halifax-Dartmouth
area, with towing assignments up and down the Nova Scotia coast. She was
sold out of the service in 1975.
With a length of 41", a beam of 10" and a scale of 1/24, these plans provide a big model within a short length and therefore is ideally suited for radio control. At the same time, the plans are sufficiently detailed to provide a museum class model if the builder so wishes.
