General
History
New
Glasgow was commissioned in 1943 and served on convoy duty in the North Atlantic
and later on patrols in U.K. waters. During this late period she sank a
U-Boat by ramming. Rebuilt as a Prestonian class frigate in 1954, she
served as an anti-submarine vessel until paid off in 1967. This drawing
represents New Glasgow in her original configuration.
