General History

Foundation Franklin was bought in 1930 by the Foundation Maritime Co.   She was built in 1918 as H.M.T. Frisky, a Dainty Class tug.  After being sold out of naval service, she was renamed Gustavo Ipland, before being bought by the Foundation to be registered in Montreal with O.N. 142615.
